My name is Neil, I am a married father of two and a partner of a local firm of chartered accountants, Dutton Moore.
My first introduction to freemasonry was about 15 years ago, when my brother-in-law invited me to a number of social events at the Andrew Marvell Lodge. I got to know some of the brethren and a little more about freemasonry and joined in 2006, as a fresh faced 30 year old.
I have taken on most of the roles in the lodge and had the privilege of being the Worshipful Master in 2013 & 2014. It has been an extremely rewarding experience and has given me back so much fun and happiness.
Freemasonry means something different to every mason, but for me I enjoy the close bond and friendship of the brethren. I have made so many friends within freemasonry, both in my own lodge and other lodges in the area.
During my time in the lodge we have also helped a lot of small local charities, something I am very proud of.
For anyone interested in Freemasonry, I would recommend getting in touch and coming along to some of our social events through out the year. I cannot recommend it highly enough, I have had a wonderful experience so far and look forward to many more years as a freemason.
